Ind Agro Synergy will inaugurate the first phase
of integrated steel and power plant at Village Mahapalli in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh on 30 May 2004.
Phase I of integrated steel and power plant
comprising of DRI (sponge iron) plant, power plant, induction furnaces with continuous caster
manufacturing sponge iron and billets, entailed an investment of around Rs.147
crore.
It may be recalled that Ind Agro Synergy had
signed an MoU with the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation on
5 March 2003 for setting up the following manufacturing facilities in
the state with an investment of Rs.413 crore, including Rs.147 crore in first
phase
