Infrastructure EPC major, KEC International has secured new orders of Rs 1,373 crore across its various businesses in India, and abroad.
The Railways business has secured a contract in the technologically-enabled segment of automatic block signaling (ABS) and in semi high-speed rail, the orders are for 2x25 kV overhead electrification (OHE) and associated works for speed upgradation. In civil construction, the business has won orders in the residential and commercial building segments in India.
The company's transmission & distribution (T&D) vertical has bagged orders in India and America, wherein 400 kV transmission line project will be carried out in India The other contract comprises the supply of towers in India and the USA. The company's subsidiary, SAE Towers has bagged the overseas contract for supplying towers, hardware and poles.
In another order, the cables business will undertake work for various types of cables in India and overseas.
For the RPG Group company, the new order wins strengthen its presence across established and emerging segments of signaling & telecommunication and adding line capacity through automation. Apart from the repeat order in T&D from an existing private developer, KEC International has gained traction in the area of tower supply, with the order secured in North America.
