Lee Kim Tah Holdings of Singapore
is planning to develop 120 acre mega integrated township within the Siruesri
IT park in Chennai. In September 2003, the company has signed MoU
with the government of Tamil Nadu for developing the township
within the park.
The total land cost is estimated
at Rs.15.30 crore of which the company has already paid Rs.8
crore and has taken holding of 62 acre of land.
Representatives from the Singapore
consotrium led by the company have presented a master plan of the
proposed township, which was developed by the Singapore Housing
Development Board (SHDB).
The integrated township would
comprise housing and commercial complexes, retail malls, schools,
community halls and hospitals. The township would be developed in
phases with a total of 6,000 dwelling units including 15-20
blocks with each block having 300-350 dwelling units.
