MRF is making significant strides in the electric vehicle (EV) tyre segment by supplying tyres to major manufacturers of electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, including the latest Maruti eVitara.
As an OEM partner, MRF caters to leading EV models such as Tata Nexon, Mahindra EVs, and Honda Activa Electric, along with new-age electric players like Ather, Ultraviolette, and Revolt. The company also supplies tyres for electric buses and three-wheelers, strengthening its footprint in the EV sector. Expanding its horizons in defence and aircraft tyre manufacturing, MRF is the exclusive supplier for Indian defence aircraft and helicopters.
It has begun exporting aircraft tyres through Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) and is exploring further opportunities in global defence exports while maintaining its commitment to domestic defence needs. The company exports tyres to over 70 countries, including Southeast Asia, South America, Africa, and the Middle East, supported by an expanding dealer network.
In the last financial year, the company invested over Rs 2,100 crore in capital expenditure and has already allocated Rs 700 crore in the first half of the current financial year. It operates 10 strategically located plants across India, tailoring capacity enhancements to specific product categories.
