Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals
has planned to set up a greenfield 15 million tpa at Surathkal near Mangalore.
The refinery is expected to cost Rs.30,000 crore.
This proposal, of which more details
are not yet available, are over and above the proposed expansion at the existing
refinery located at Katipalla near Mangalore. Capacity is being raised from 9.69
million tpa to 15 million tpa with a total investment of Rs.7,943 crore.
