Mahanadi Coalfields (MCL) has issued a tender for the hiring of heavy earth moving machinery (HEMM) for re-handling and removal of materials at the Hingula Open Cast Project (OCP) in Hingula Area in Odisha.

The work involves the drilling, excavation, loading, transportation, dumping, and spreading of all types of materials until the exposure of Seam-II-D (with partings). The machinery required includes shovels, dumpers, tippers, drills, dozers, graders, and fog cannons, among others.This project is part of MCL’s ongoing efforts to expand and improve mining operations at Hingula OCP, ensuring efficient extraction and transportation of coal materials in the region. The total quantity to be handled is 1,67,946,000 cubic mtrs. The estimated cost of the work is Rs 2,043.45 crore, and the contract duration is set for five years.
