The first phase of the Worli BDD Chawl redevelopment project has been inaugurated with the ceremonial handover of 556 newly redeveloped homes to residents by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, joined by Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar.
Executed by TCC Construction, a joint venture of Tata Projects and Capacit’e Infraprojects, the MHADA-led initiative aims to replace century-old structures with 33 rehabilitation towers of 40 storeys housing 9,680 tenants, 10 super high-rise sale towers, and a commercial building. Each two-BHK flat offers a 500 sq. ft. carpet area, modern amenities, and upgraded infrastructure.
The project represents one of India’s largest public housing transformations, aligning engineering excellence with community upliftment.
