Milkbasket, a grocery delivery start-up, will make an investment to the tune of Rs 10 crore to ramp up the business.
The investment will be made to scale up its fresh fruits and vegetable category as it aims to set up 10 more fresh sourcing centres across the country.
The company has shortlisted villages in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nashik, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
It will continue investment to establish a robust processing and distribution network over 2019.
The company has also tied up with multiple farmers producers organisations (FPOs) across the country to source directly from Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. Apart from this, it also aims to get into contract farming.
