NBCC India is set to begin a significant phase in the redevelopment of the Netaji Nagar General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) colony, with internal and approach roads now set to be relaid.
This Rs 67.62-crore infrastructure project, supported by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), will include the construction of roads, stormwater drains, utility ducts, and street lighting, as well as enhancements like bus shelters and horticulture. The project also integrates solar and conventional lighting, adhering to Indian Roads Congress standards. With the completion of most residential tower construction, the focus shifts to improving road connectivity within the complex.
Coordination with Delhi Traffic Police is planned to minimise congestion during high-density periods. Additionally, the project will see the creation of community facilities, including a school and clubhouse, contributing to the area's redevelopment.
