NTPC has invited bids for the balance works of barrage and desilting chamber – open works at the Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro Electric Power Project (4x130 MW), located in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand.

The scope of work includes completion of remaining civil, structural, and associated construction activities related to the barrage and desilting chamber. It is a key component of NTPC’s renewable energy expansion strategy, aimed at harnessing the hydropower potential of the Alaknanda River basin to ensure clean and sustainable power generation. 

This development is crucial for enhancing project readiness and ensuring smooth water flow management for optimal power plant operation. This initiative underscores NTPC’s continued commitment to expanding India’s hydropower infrastructure. 

The closing date for submission of bids is 23 October, 2025.
