Godrej Properties, a real estate arm of Godrej Group, is likely to develop a
Rs 5,000 crore mega township project in Ahmedabad.
The real estate company had signed an MoU with the Gujarat Government for the
project during the Vibrant Gujarat summit 2009. The township project comprising a
commercial and retail complex is likely to be spread across 300 lakh sq. ft.
Most of the funds for the township project are expected to come through bookings
and the rest is expected to be financed through internal accruals. Construction
work is expected to begin shortly.
