IOC is planning to augment the capacity of its Haldia refinery in West Bengal
to 7.5 million tonne by February 2010.
Currently, the Haldia refinery has a capacity of processing six million tpa
of crude oil. After the expansion, the unit is expected to produce Euro-III and
Euro-IV grade petrol and diesel.
Besides, the company plans to expand its Panipat refinery in Haryana from 12
to 15 million tpa by August 2010. The expansion of Panipat refinery, which was
originally scheduled for March 2010, has been delayed by 4-5 months.
