Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park at Bhensola village, Badnawar tehsil, Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, on September 17, his 75th birthday.
Dhar Collector Priyank Mishra confirmed the event, highlighting the park as part of the Centre’s PM MITRA scheme to establish world-class textile hubs that enhance India’s competitiveness in global textile manufacturing. The Dhar textile hub is expected to significantly benefit cotton farmers from Dhar, Jhabua, Barwani, Khargone and Khandwa districts, especially in tribal regions, by providing better access to infrastructure, markets and employment opportunities.
Officials stressed that Madhya Pradesh is executing the project at a faster pace compared to other states, reflecting the PM’s vision of accelerating textile sector growth. The initiative aligns with India’s broader strategy of strengthening its textile industry, improving exports, and generating large-scale rural employment through integrated clusters that combine farming, processing and apparel production.
