Bengaluru-based real estate developer Prestige Group is in the process of constructing eight million sq. ft. of malls across Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
These malls are expected to become operational by 2028-2029. In Mumbai’s Mulund area, the Group is developing a two lakh sq. ft. mall focused on food and beverages, while a one million sq. ft. mall is planned for the Prestige City township in Indirapuram, Delhi-NCR, pending RERA approval.
Additionally, a luxury mall of one million sq. ft. is planned in a prime area of Mumbai. The company is exploring another mall project in Delhi-NCR. The Group sold 4.4 million sq. ft. of retail space across seven malls for Rs 9,000 crore in 2021, holding a 15 percent share of the mall market.
In June 2023, it sold two-thirds of its retail business to Blackstone-backed Nexus Malls. The Group is also focusing on other cities, including plans for a six lakh sq. ft. mall in Goa, featuring food and entertainment options. In Bengaluru, three malls are under development: a one million sq. ft. mall in Sarjapura, another in Whitefield, and an athleisure-focused mall in north Bengaluru.
The north Bengaluru mall, slated to open in early 2027, will offer eight lakh sq. ft. of retail space, including three lakh sq. ft. dedicated to sportswear and accessories, 2.5 lakh sq. ft. for food and entertainment, and 2.5 lakh sq. ft. for gaming experiences. In Chennai, Prestige Group is building a one million sq. ft. mall on Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR). Hyderabad will soon see the launch of three new malls, further strengthening its retail presence.
