Ravindra Energy (REL) has received 13 letters of award (LoAs) from Hubli Electricity Supply Company (HESCOM) to develop, establish, and operate a 62 MW (AC) solar power generators (SPG) project across Karnataka.
The project will be spread across 13 HESCOM substations, with an estimated capital expenditure of around Rs 225 crore. Under the agreement, HESCOM will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with REL at an average tariff of Rs 2.95 per unit. The projects are expected to be commissioned within 12 months from the PPA signing. The initiative is part of Karnataka’s push to expand renewable energy capacity and strengthen clean power infrastructure in the state. The selection of solar power generators (SPGs) is for the establishment of the plant under the build, own & operate (BOO) model.
These solar power generators will contribute to sustainable energy production while supporting HESCOM’s long-term electricity supply goals. The move also reinforces REL’s position in the domestic solar energy sector. Keywords:
