Robo Silicon is planning to come up with five new plants in a year.
The plants will add a total capacity of about 1,000 tonne per hour. The company supplies manufactured sand to the construction industry.
Each unit will require an investment of Rs 10 to 12 crore. These will be funded through long term loans and internal accruals. The plants will come up near Mumbai, Bengaluru, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
Robo Silicon sells stone aggregates under the brand RoboSand. It is positioned as a substitute to river sand and as a viable, eco-friendly product.
The company presently has 14 plants across cities including three around Hyderabad.
