Serentica Renewables, backed by private equity firm KKR, plans to invest up to USD 11 billion by 2030 to expand its clean energy portfolio.
The company aims to increase its renewable capacity to 17 GW by the end of the decade, up from its current two GW. Serentica will raise USD six–eight billion over the next five years to finance acquisitions of operating projects and new developments. These acquisitions will focus on value-based opportunities, with up to five GW of renewable energy assets currently available for sale in India. The company’s growth strategy includes both acquiring and constructing new projects.
"The acquisitions that Serentica Renewables will pursue are purely opportunistic and value-based," said Chairman Pratik Agarwal.
