Sharika Enterprises, a leader in smart energy automation, has secured a significant SCADA automation contract from QMeasure Technologies for BMM Ispat’s Hosapete (Danapur) unit in Karnataka.

As part of its sustainability and self-sufficiency goals, BMM Ispat operates captive power plants with a total capacity of 235 MW, incorporating waste heat recovery boilers, atmospheric fluidized bed boilers (AFBC), and circulating fluidized bed boilers (CFBC). The company is now upgrading its 400 kV substation with SPIN Tech’s Lean Automation™ SCADA solution, marking a key step in modernising its power distribution and energy management systems.

Sharika Enterprises will replace outdated IEC 61850-based Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) and Bay Controllers with a next-generation, self-configuring SCADA system. This upgrade will enable real-time monitoring and control of power infrastructure, improving reliability, operational efficiency, and productivity. BMM Ispat, a Rs 2,000 crore company, is known for integrating advanced technologies to improve process efficiency and enhance value addition.
