The foundation stone
for RKM Powergen's 1,440 MW (4X360 MW) coal based power project at Ucchpinda in
Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh is likely to be laid by end-January
2009.
The company has
achieved financial closure for the Rs.6,600 crore venture. RKM has acquired 900
acre, and received clearances from water resource department for the project. Clearances from the Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF) has also been received for the project.
The company has
appointed Fischer India as consultant, while South Eastern Coalfields has
allotted coal linkage for the project.
