Tata Power has signed two contracts on 20 June 2009 with OPG Group, Chennai.
Under the first contract, the company will provide operations and maintenance
services to OPG Power Generation's 80 MW coal based power plant located at
Gummidipoondi, about 50 km from Chennai. The contract is for an initial
period of two years and can be extended with mutual consent. The plant is
expected to be commissioned by September-October 2009.
As per the second contract, Tata Power is to provide Project Management
Services to OPG Power Gujarat for its upcoming 2x150 MW coal based thermal power
plant located at
Bhadreswar, in Kutch district of Gujarat and is likely to be commissioned by
September 2011.
