The Telangana state government has roped in Singapore-based consultancy Surbana Jurong to prepare the detailed project report (DPR) for the Bharat Future City project, located on the outskirts of the city.
The core phase of the development will span 30,000 acres, with 15,000 acres dedicated to various functional zones, including education, health, IT, AI, sports, and film city facilities. The DPR will outline the zoning plan, paving the way for land allocation across these sectors. Several prominent companies have shown interest in the project, including Reliance Group’s Vantara initiative, which has proposed a world-class zoo and ecotourism zone. Salman Khan Ventures has also announced plans for a Rs 10,000-crore integrated township and film studio project.
"We will ensure transparency and high standards through global tenders," said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The Bharat Future City, designed as a carbon-neutral urban centre, will focus on clean energy, electric mobility, and eco-friendly development, including a 56-village footprint, set for a comprehensive master plan proposal in January 2026.
