Thermo Fisher Scientific, a US-based leader in scientific instrumentation, reagents, consumables, and software services, will establish two major facilities in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley, both slated to open by year-end 2025.
The Bioprocess Design Centre (BDC), being developed in collaboration with the Telangana Government, will offer expertise in bioprocessing and process scale-up to accelerate the development of life-changing therapies. Meanwhile, the Customer Experience Centre (CEC) will highlight advanced instrumentation and workflow solutions across molecular biology, proteomics, clinical diagnostics, and cell and gene therapy. It will also serve as a hub for method development, technology adoption, and workforce upskilling, supported by subject matter experts.
The announcement was made during the Biopharma Conclave 2025 in Hyderabad. Tony Acciarito, President, Asia Pacific & Middle East, Africa, Thermo Fisher Scientific, stated, “India’s biopharma sector is poised for a giant leap, and we are deeply committed to enabling that outcome.”
