The Tirupati district administration handed over land possession on 11 February, 2026 for a new tourism project aimed at strengthening the region’s tourism infrastructure.

The proposed resort, to be developed by Odisha-based Bengal Ultimate Resorts will span about 12.70 acres in Vadamalapeta mandal. The resort will offer 149 rooms, including deluxe rooms, suites, cottages, and villas, along with dining options, banquet and conference halls, spa and wellness facilities, and both indoor and outdoor recreational amenities. Dr. S Venkateswar, District Collector, noted, “Tirupati requires quality hospitality to support the growing tourist inflow,” and highlighted that the project would create direct employment for 250 people, with nearly 100 others benefiting indirectly.

Company representative Pradeepta Kumar Mohapatra expressed his satisfaction with the state's investor-friendly tourism policies, noting that the company had committed to completing the resort within two years to international standards, following an MoU signed at the Summit in Visakhapatnam.
