The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has accorded terms of reference (ToR) to the Guru Gobind Singh Polymer project.The project will be developed at Petrochemical complex, Bhatinda refinery in Punjab.
The project will spread over 787 ha of land at a total investment of Rs 19,365 crore.
The project will develop some of the existing products that include LPG, naptha, gasoline, ATF, kerosene and diesel among others.
It will have processing units which include a dual feed cracker unit with a capacity of 1,200 ktpa, a high density polyethylene unit with a capacity of 450 ktpa, and a polypropylene unit of 450 ktpa capacity.
