The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA), along with Jurong
Infrastructure (India), has launched a housing project - Haritha - at
Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on 22 November 2009. The project
is estimated to cost Rs 100 crore.
The housing project is likely to be developed in two phases on 40 acre at
Madhurawada. It is to be executed by Jurong India, a subsidiary of the Jurong
Infrastructure, Singapore. In Phase I, to be spread over 20 acre, it is likely
to have 710 housing units in lower, middle and high income group category. It is
scheduled to be completed in 24 months.
