Valor Estate (formerly DB Realty)), through its wholly owned subsidiary and in partnership with Prestige Estates Projects, is spearheading a landmark slum redevelopment initiative in Worli, Mumbai. The project, undertaken via Worli Urban Development Project, covers approx. 70,000 sq. mtrs. at Dr. E Moses Road and is popularly known as the Jijamata Nagar Redevelopment Project.
The land is owned by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), and Valor holds a 50 percent economic interest. The redevelopment includes the rehabilitation of around 4,029 residential and commercial structures. Of these, 3,661 families have already been relocated through transit accommodation or rent. The remaining occupants have been ordered by the Bombay High Court to vacate their premises by 25 June, 2025, following consent terms filed in court. The land also houses the critical Stage-II of the Mumbai Sewerage Disposal Project at the Love Grove Sewage Pumping Works.
Once cleared, the site will be developed into “The Prestige Place,” a world-class mixed-use project with a planned sale FSI of over four million sq. ft., designed by global architecture firm SOM. This will be among the largest urban renewal and mixed-use developments in South Mumbai.
