Chennai-based Vijay
Shanthi Builders will be investing Rs.1,595 crore to develop residential
projects in and around Chennai over the next two years.
The residential
projects will be funded through internal accruals. In Chennai, the company's
proposed projects in Aynavaram, Adyar and Kellis will need an investment of
around Rs.80 crore. The investment in Nugambakkam and Besant Nagar projects will
be around Rs.140 crore and Rs.170 crore respectively. The company is developing
100 villas in Salem at an investment of Rs.125 crore and these will be completed
in the next 36 months. Some more housing projects are planned in Ambattur at an
investment cost of Rs.350 crore, near Sripermbudur for around Rs.150 crore and
at Kelambakkam with an investment of Rs.280 crore.
The company has
recently launched another housing project - 'Lotus Pond' at Thaiyar near Chennai
at an investment outlay of Rs.300 crore. The housing project is being developed
on 11 acre and it will have 1,200 units with single, two and three bedroom
apartments between 400 sq ft and 1,157 sq ft. The project is scheduled to be
completed in the next 21 months.
