Zon Hotels Mumbai, a joint venture between SanRaj Group and DGS Group, has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with IHG Hotels & Resorts for a new luxury hotel project in Mumbai’s Western suburbs.

The proposed 350-room hotel will likely feature a premium brand like InterContinental. This partnership marks a significant step in expanding global hospitality brands in Mumbai’s growing business corridors. Sudeep Jain, Managing Director of South West Asia at IHG, and Rajdip Gupta, Director at Zon Hotels, formalised the agreement. Zon Hotels’ directors Sandip Gupta, Rajdip Gupta, Ishwar Shukla, and Rohit Shukla are behind the project.

“The western region of Mumbai is fast becoming a key business hub, and this project aligns with our vision of developing world-class hospitality assets,” said Sandip Gupta and Rajdip Gupta. The hotel is expected to serve both business and leisure travellers and is part of the growing trend of global hospitality collaborations in India.
