Blue Energy Motors, a leader in clean-energy commercial vehicles, has achieved a major milestone by saving 10,000 tonne of CO2 emissions through its liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered green trucks. This accomplishment is equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of over 4,00,000 mature trees annually, marking a significant step in decarbonising the transportation sector, and positioning the company at the forefront of India’s green transportation revolution.

India aims to reach Net Zero carbon emissions by 2070, and commercial vehicles are a significant contributor to emissions, despite making up only four percent of the fleet. LNG trucks provide immediate benefits for long-haul operations, while EVs promise a long-term solution by eliminating tailpipe emissions entirely.

LNG-powered vehicles, alongside emerging electric vehicle (EV) technologies, present transformative solutions. Commenting on the achievement, Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, said: "Achieving the milestone of saving 10,000 tonne of CO2 emissions is a testament to our unwavering commitment to driving sustainable change in the trucking industry. This achievement reinforces our vision of a cleaner, greener future."

The company is also investing heavily in EV technology to complement its LNG innovations. Blue Energy Motors aims to develop advanced EV solutions for commercial use, further aligning with its mission to reduce carbon footprints in logistics.
