Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions has been awarded a contract from Paradeep Phosphates (PPL) for expansion of their phosphoric acid plant in Paradeep, Odisha, based on the Di-hydrate technology from Prayon Technologies of Belgium.
The project will raise the capacity of the existing plant from 1,000 tonne to 1,400 tonne of phosphoric acid per day.
The phosphoric acid produced will be utilised by Paradeep Phosphates in the manufacturing of phosphate fertilisers such as diammonium phosphate (DAP) and NPK (compound/multi-nutrient fertilisers).
The company is also in the process of revamping their DAP-NPK facility as well.
The company will provide engineering and technical procurement services which will cover the plant’s reaction unit, filtration unit, dry rock grinding section and an additional cooling tower cell. The project is planned to be completed within a period of 22 months from the effective date of the contract.
