Shri Sai Priya Sugar is setting up a white crystal sugar unit at Hipparagi Mygur, Jamakhandi, in Bagalkot district of Karnataka.
As told to ProjectsToday (PT), the project will be set up with an investment of Rs 540 crore. Around Rs 321 crore of the project cost will be funded from internal accruals; Rs 216 crore from Sugar Development Fund; and the remaining Rs three crore will be funded through bank loan.
The white crystal sugar unit will have a capacity of 10,000 tccpd and about 150 acre of land has been acquired for the project. Along with the white crystal sugar unit, the project will also include a 15 MW bagasse-based co-generation power unit.
At present, work on the project is underway and the project is scheduled for completion by November 2014.
