Indian Oil Corporation has planned to
soon finalize project management consultants for its Panipat refinery project.
Speaking to ProjectsToday, senior IOC officials stated that shortlisting of
consultants has already taken place and the appointment will be done by
September 2006.
The project involves upgrade of motor
spirit quality at the Panipat refinery in Haryana for which global
pre-qualification bids were invited in February 2006. IOC officials added that
all statutory clearances for the project were in place.
The MS quality upgrade would be the
third significant project at the Panipat refinery after the commissioning of the
Rs.4,600 crore PTA complex in June 2006 and the refinery capacity expansion from
6 million tpa to 12 million tpa in May 2006.
