Era Constructions (India) has reported
the recent winning of an order from NTPC for the construction of civil works for
Dadri thermal power project for generation of 980 MW (2 x 490 MW) thermal power
for supply to Delhi and its neighbouring areas. The contract value of the
project is Rs.188.9 crore excluding the cost of cement and steel.
The scope of work includes civil works
for main power house housing turbo generator (TG) / boiler / CW, mill and bunker
including off site works and other ancillary works necessary for making the
power house functional. The power plant consists of two units of 2 X 490 MW each
and is expected to be completed within 43 months from the date of award of
contract.
Era Constructions has completed three
super thermal power stations for NTPC - Talchar - I (2 x 500 MW), Talchar
- II (2 x 500 MW) and at Ramagundam (1 x 500 MW). Besides this, the company is
also executing three major super power stations for NTPC, which shall generate
3,980 MW power to the national grid soon. The said project details are as under:
1. TG area civil works package for
Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power project, Stage III (2 x 500 MW), Vindhya Nagar,
(Madhya Pradesh).
2. TG area civil works package for
Kahalgaon Super Thermal Power project, Stage II, Phase-I (2 x 500 MW), Kahal
Gaon (Bihar).
3. TG area civil works package for
SIPAT Super Thermal Power project, Stage I (3 x 660 MW), Sipat, (Chhattisgarh).
