GMR Energy is set to bag the contract for a
180 MW Holi Bajoli hydroelectric project on river Ravi in Chamba district in
Himachal Pradesh.
Reliance Energy, Larsen & Toubro,
Lanco, Jaypee and Torrent-Gammon consortium were among other companies that had
submitted financial bids.
The project will require an investment
of more than Rs.1,000 crore. The developer will have a 40 year concession period
from the date of commercial operations.
