Starwood Hotels & Resorts
International has backed out of Hindustan Construction Co's ambitious Lavasa
township project.
HCC had in January 2007 entered into a
management agreement with Starwood for two hotels in Lavasa along the Warasgaon
Dam in Pune. Starwood was to manage a 250 room convention centre hotel and
another 250 room resort.
