Rainbow Papers has chalked out a Rs 327-crore expansion plan for its current
facility near Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
Under the plan, the company mulls to expand its capacity from 1,80,000 to
3,50,000 tpa in by 2011. Apart from this, plans are afoot to set up a 30-MW
captive power plant at a cost of Rs 120 crore at its existing facility.
The company has covered Rs 123 crore through a Global Depository Receipt and
listed its stocks on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. It has tied up with banks
for a debt of around Rs 200 crore, while the balance will be through internal
accruals.
