Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores has decided to invest about Rs 665 crore for
funding its diversification projects.
The company plans to set up a 1.75 million tonne input capacity iron ore
beneficiation plant at a cost of about Rs 160-165 crore. It will also set up a
plain and alloy steel plant with an annual capacity of 2.5 lakh tonne at
Vyasanakere in Karnataka at a cost of about Rs 450 -500 crore.
The company has also decided to engage experts/consultants to explore various
options available to it for mobilising resources for funding the proposed
projects.
