Lincoln Minerals, Australia, is scouting for partners in India for its four
mining projects in Australia.
The company is holding discussion with several companies in Mumbai and two in
Kolkata for partnerships.
The India based companies were likely to pick up equity stake worth
$(Australian) 20-40 million (approx Rs 81-162 crore) in these projects. The
India based partners will be allowed export minerals to India, under the
agreement. However, names of these companies have not been disclosed.
The projects that Lincoln is looking at partnering Indian companies were
Hercules South (Wilcherry), Cummins-Wanilla and Gum Flat magnetite-hematite
deposits and Cockabidinie nickel-cobalt deposits.
