Phillips Carbon Black (PCBL) has earmarked Rs 350 crore for setting up two
carbon black plants and a power plant.
The company is in the process of setting up a 50,000 million tonne carbon
black plant at Mundra in Gujarat which is slated to be commissioned by March
2011.
This apart, PCBL is likely to set up similar capacity carbon black plant. The
propose plant may require around 40 acre. However, the company has not yet
finalised the location for the plant.
PCBL plans to set up 18 MW power plants at Mundra and Kochi (Kerala). The
company has plants in Durgapur (West Bengal), Mundra and Palej (Gujarat) and
Kochi (Kerala).
