REC Power Development and Consultancy has invited bids for the selection of transmission service providers through TBCB process for the development of intra-state transmission projects in Maharashtra.

These projects covering the establishment of three major substations will be developed on a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) basis. The first project involves the construction of a 765/400/220 kV ALS substation at Balsane in Dhule district. The second project is the establishment of a 765/400/220 kV ALS substation at Apta in Raigad district. The third project is for the creation of a 400/220 kV GIS substation at Ambernath in Thane district. 

The transmission provider will be responsible for the establishment, operation, and transfer of the facilities. The projects aim to strengthen the transmission capacity and reliability of the grid, contributing to the region's growing energy demands. 

The closing date for bid submission is 09 February, 2026.
