Tata Power has received a letter of intent (LoI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy, a subsidiary of REC, for acquiring the Jejuri Hinjewadi Power Transmission, a project special purpose vehicle (SPV).
The contract will involve the construction of approx. 115 km of 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines between Jejuri and Hinjewadi, along with the extension of 400 kV GIS line bays at substations at both locations. This will be a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) project, where Tata Power will provide transmission services for a period of 35 years, beginning 24 months after the SPV transfer.
The agreement includes a 35-year transmission service agreement period and a scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD) two years after the transfer. The projectis focused on enhancing power transmission infrastructure.
