SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has commenced commercial electricity supply of an additional 100.02 MW from its 1,000 MW solar power project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, effective 30 June, 2025.
With this addition, the plant has now achieved a total commercial operation date (COD) of 501.02 MW, crossing the halfway mark of the project’s planned capacity. The remaining 498.98 MW of the project is expected to be commissioned shortly.
This large-scale renewable energy project is part of SGEL’s broader strategy to support India’s energy transition and contribute to its renewable energy capacity targets under national climate commitments. Once fully operational, the Bikaner project is expected to significantly bolster clean energy generation in the region and strengthen SGEL’s growing green energy portfolio.
