The Centre has granted assistance of Rs 3,470 crore to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the expansion of its network under Phase-III.
The funds will be utilised for the ongoing progress of the work related to Phase III of the Delhi Metro Rail Transit System project and expansion of Metro lines in the national capital region.
As part of the total allocation, the government has granted Rs 145.81 crore for NCR expansion in Faridabad and Bahadurgarh.
Apart from this, the Ministry of Urban Development will invest Rs 838.07 crore as equity to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Phase III expansion. An amount of Rs 763.15 crore will be provided as a subordinate debt for Phase III (land acquisition and Central taxes) and a sum of Rs 1,723.13 crore as pass through assistance.
