ABB India has bagged an order valued at Rs 165.4 crore from Power
Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand for three substations. This will
strengthen the northern India's transmission grid and help deliver clean
hydropower to communities in the area.
ABB's scope of work comprises design, supply, installation and commissioning
the substations, rated at
132 kV (Eldeco), 220 kV and
400 kV (Srinagar), as well as transformers and other power equipment. The
substations are scheduled for completion by 2011.
