Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MPPTCL) has enhanced the power transmission capacity in Harda district by successfully commissioning and energising a new 200 MVA transformer at the 220kV Handia substation.
The new transformer replaces the old 160 MVA unit, increasing the substation's total capacity from 480 MVA to 520 MVA. Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar congratulated MP Transco for the achievement, emphasizing that the upgraded infrastructure would ensure more reliable and uninterrupted power supply to the region. The project plays a crucial role in supporting the industrial, agricultural, and overall development of Madhya Pradesh.
The new transformer will benefit the areas of Harda, Khategaon, Kannod, Sultanpur, Gopalpur, Nasrullaganj, Satwas, and Fatehabad. With this addition, the total transformation capacity of Harda district has increased to 879 MVA.
