ACC, Holcim India group company, announced commissioning of 1.6 million tpa grinding unit at Tikaria in Uttar Pradesh.
With the completion of the expansion the total capacity of the Tikaria grinding unit has increased from 2.31 million tpa, taking the total capacity at Tikaria grinding unit at 3.91 million tpa.
The foundation stone of the grinding unit was laid in January 2021. The new facility will manufacture environment friendly cement products with low carbon emission.
With cement demand projected to increase in India, development capex projects are being kick-started to increase clinker and cement capacities across the country.
ACC has drawn up plans to increase its Tikaria plant capacity, i.e., 2.7 million tonne of clinker and 4.8 million tpa of cement by 2024.
