The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA), on 25 March 2011, approved
a budget of Rs 449.47 crore.
The AUDA has allocated Rs 83 crore for development of road infrastructure in
64 town planning schemes and development plans, while Rs 73 crore has been
allocated for development of Sardar Patel Ring Road. Further, it has allocated
Rs 42 crore for development work in growth centres such as Kalol, Dahegam,
Mehmedabad, Bareja and Sanand and a sum of Rs 66 crore have been allocated for
the development of gardens and lakes in these growth centres. Under JNNURM, AUDA
has allocated Rs 10.50 crore for storm water drainage network.
Also, it has allocated Rs 46 crore for drainage line and Rs 4.6 crore for
street lights, footpaths and fire stations. The AUDA will spend Rs 5.5 crore for
repairing damaged roads. A sum of Rs 16.60 crore has been allocated for
supplying water in Bopal and 69 villages falling under the AUDA's purview.
