Alstom India has secured an order from NTPC, for its 500 MW Vindhyachal super thermal power plant in Madhya Pradesh.
The company has bagged a contract worth 25 million euro (approx Rs 212.9 crore) to provide the Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) system for the Vindhyachal thermal power plant.
The scope of work includes delivery of the wet limestone-based FGD system for 1 x 500 MW pulverised coal-fired boiler unit, on full turnkey basis, including designing, engineering, manufacturing, testing, civil works, erection and commissioning.
The project, located at Vindhyanagar, Singrauli, in Siddhi district of Madhya Pradesh, is estimated to cost Rs 2,784.20 crore.
