Ambuja Cements has drawn a capex plan where the company is planning to invest Rs 960 crore. The money will be utilised in setting up a 1.4 million tonne clinker capacity, grinding facility of 1.8 million tonne, besides a captive power plant and waste heat recovery system at Marwar Mundwa in Rajasthan.
The investment will be funded through internal accruals. These projects will increase the company’s cement capacity to 31.5 million tonne.
In February 2018, the company had announced plans to invest Rs 1,390 crore in Phase-I of its greenfield clinkerisation project with annual capacity of 1.71 million tonne at Marwar Mundwa.
