Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the parent of Amul, will invest Rs 10,000 crore over the next two to three years to expand its milk and food processing infrastructure.
The investment, GCMMF’s second major tranche after deploying Rs 11,000 crore in 2023, will be used to set up 10 to 12 new plants focused on dairy, ice cream, and food products. The announcement will be made during the World Food India 2025 summit in Delhi. The expansion aligns with Amul’s goal of reaching Rs one lakh crore in turnover within the next couple of years, after closing FY25 at Rs 90,000 crore.
GCMMF has a milk processing capacity of 440 lakh litres per day and operates 118 plants nationwide.
